After launching the Q7 back in May, LG on yesterday has launched the LG Q8 —the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Q-Series, in its Homeland Korea. The LG Q8 comes with a stylus pen. The key highlights of the Q8 include a FullVision display, MIL-STD 810G & IP68 certified, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, Hi-Fi Quad DAC, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. LG Q8 (2018): Is Galaxy Note Competitor?

The LG Q8 sports a 6.2″-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and comes without notch. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4 GB RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with LG’s custom UI on top.

Coming to the camera side, the Q8 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 100° Super wide-angle lens, LG’s Q-Lens and Portrait mode support. It has an in-built Stylus that offers to take pop-memo (—lets you take memo anywhere on the screen even when the screen is off ), GIF Editing and more. It also comes with a rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Furthermore, the Q8 comes with MIL-STD 810G Certified (—has been tested in 14 different conditions including shock, vibration, high temperature, low temperature, thermal shock, and humidity for a stable performance in various environments.) along with IP68 Certified (— water-resistant and dust-proof). Lastly, the handset is fuelled with a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging support.

Pricing and Availability

The LG Q8 comes in two colors shade Aurora Black and Morrocan Blue. It is priced at KRW 539,000 (USD 470/ INR 32,869) and will go on sale in Korea statring soon.
