Last month end, LG Electronics announced three new mid-range smartphones under its Q7 series – LG Q7, LG Q7+ and LG Q7α smartphones, which are the successors of LG Q6, Q6+, and Q6 α that was launched in last year. Now, the company has officially launched only two Q7 series smartphones, the LG Q7 and LG Q7+ in its Home country Korea and has also revealed its price. LG Q7 and Q7+

Both the Q7 and Q7+ come with a 5.5″-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 42ppi. Under the hood, both the phones are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 450 14nm processor is clocked at 1.5/1.8GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The LG Q7 comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, while the LG Q7 + comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The Storage options can be further expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card slots on the both Q7 and Q7+. The phones run on Android Oreo with LG Custom UI on the top, Coming to the camera department, the Q7 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), while the Q7 + sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with same LED Flash and PDAF. On the front, both phones have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 100-degree Super Wide Angle lens. Just like the LG G7 ThinQ, the Q7 and Q7+ come with AI integration lets you click portrait photos with bokeh effect and QLens feature for image recognition. Just like the predecessor, Both are powered by a 3,000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Fast Charge technology which delivers 50% of charge in about 30 minutes via USB Type-C port.

Both the Q7 and Q7+ are IP68 certified which means they are water and dust resistant and additionally both come with MIL-STD 810G certification ( military grade durability ) too, just like the predecessor. For a quality audio system, both boast DTS:X support for delivering virtual 3D surround sound effect with up to 7.1 channel audio via the headphones. Furthermore, the Q7 + comes with Hi-Fi Quad DAC, ensuring a richer audio experience.

  • The Q7 comes in Aurora Black and Lavender Violet colors. The phone is priced at KRW 4,95,000 (USD 457/ INR 30,940 approx),while
  • The Q7+ comes only in Morrocan Blue color and priced at KRW 5,70,000 (USD 526/ INR 35,628 approx).

Both of these phones will be available via all the three major operators in Korea. The company already announced it will be available in Europe starting this June and followed by countries in the Americas and Asia.
