LG Electronics has showed-off the world’s first 8K OLED Television at the ongoing IFA 2018 consumer electronics trade show in Berlin. Earlier this TV showed as a concept model at CES2018. The LG 8K TV comes with a monstrous 88″-inch 8K( 7680 x 4320 pixels) resolution OLED panel features “over 33 million self-emitting pixels that produce the unmatched contrast ratio and true blacks that define OLED TV’s iconic picture quality.”
Talking about the specs, there’s no more information about the 8K TV, and the LG hasn’t even revealed the price also. But we can expect it should come with a massive price tag, where 77-inch 4K TV costs $25,000 ( roughly INR 17 L). So the ordinary people can’t afford it. Secondly, there is also no word on it yet, whether the LG will add an upscaling technology on the TV, that allows you to view 4K, FHD and HD content. while considering the fact that it would be hard to find 8K content at this moment.
According to LG, The 8K TV market is expected to grow to more than five million units by 2022.
