After the three months of wait, LG just launched the much-awaited flagship smartphone—LG G7 Plus ThinQ in India. The LG G7+ ThinQ was unveiled in New York, USA along with LG ThinQ back on May 2, 2018. The key highlights of the phone include a hideable notch, DolbyVision, AI Cameras, Boombox Speakers, DTS:X 7.1 channel Surround Sound, Super Far-Field Voice Recognition and a dedicated button for both Google Lens and Google Assistant. So here’s everything you need to know about the LG G7+ ThinQ!

LG G7 Plus ThinQ: Display

The LG G7+ ThinQ features a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120×1440 pixels) IPS 19.5:9 FullVision ‘Super Bright’ M+ LCD display with RGBW matrix arrangement that brings the display more clarity for easy viewing even under direct sunlight with brightness up to 1000 nits and also contains 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut (—which can consume 30% less power than the LG G6 device). Moreover, it comes with HDR10 and Dolby vision ready. However, it comes with a trending notch (—like iPhone X-style and customizable) which hides the notch part when it’s annoying and the display size will be reduced around 5.94-inches.

LG G7 Plus ThinQ: Hardware

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor (clocked at 2.8GHz) coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB of RAM along with a huge 128GB internal storage, which can be further expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD. The hardware is fuelled with a 3,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support and wireless charging as well.

On the build, it’s made out from Aluminum frame and comes with IP68 Ratings (water resistant and dust-proof) and MIL-STD 810G certified. Moreover, it features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on both front and back panel. Usual, it also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

LG G7 Plus ThinQ: Software         

On the software side, the phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with own custom AI Pack 2.0 UI on top. However, the company claims that it’s upgradable to Android P when it will be launched. Additionally, it also comes with ‘Google Lens’ and ‘Google Assistant’.

LG G7 Plus ThinQ: Camera

Coming to the camera department, it sports a vertical dual rear-camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary RGB Sensor with LED Flash, 107° super wide-angle lens,f/1.6 aperture along with a 16-megapixel Secondary Monochrome Sensor with 71° wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera offers several features like OIS (Optical Image Stabilization ), Laser autofocus, PDAF (Phase detection autofocus), Auto HDR, Live Focus or Bokeh Mode, AI Pack 2.0 and AI- Scene Recognition that can detect 19 different scenes. The dual rear cameras can shoot 4K videos @30fps (frames per second) but only in HDR mode. Notably, It comes with a special feature called ‘Cine Video’ mode that can shoot videos with some cinematic effect and is mainly for professionals. It can also capture slo-mo videos in only 720p @240fps. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel front-facing AI-powered camera with 80° wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture to capture awesome portrait selfies even in low light conditions.

The LG G7+ ThinQ comes in three colors shade—Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Platinum Grey. It is priced at Rs. 39,990 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting from August 10th on the Flipkart Big Freedom Sale.
