After multiple leaks over past few days, Lenovo owned Motorola on today has launched the new mid-range offering is called the Motorola P30, in China. The Moto P30 is the company’s first smartphone that comes with a notched display and bears a striking resemblance with the Apple’s iPhone X. The major highlights of the P30 include a notch display, premium iPhone X design, Snapdragon 636 SoC, and a dual rear-camera setup. So here’s everything you need to know about the P30.
The Motorola P30 features the similar design ergonomics of the Apple’s iPhone X (— dubbed as iPhone X Clone) with Huawei P20 Pro gradient finish paint job. Hence, the phone looks and feels more premium even under a mid-range offering. The Moto P30 comes with a 6.2″-inch FHD+ (2160× 1080 pixels) FullView Display with a 2.5D curved glass that covers the 19:9 display with added an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass protection.Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor (—is clocked at 1.8GHz) coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and comes in two storage variants—64GB (or) 128GB Internal storage with 6GB of RAM. There is also an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via MicroSD. on the software, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 4.0 on top. The handset is fuelled with a 3000mAh Li-Ion battery with Fast battery charging technology.
Coming to the camera department, it sports a vertically placed dual rear camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary (—OmniVision) sensor with an LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and 1.25μm pixel size alongside a 5-megapixel Secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture used for capturing depth information for portraits. On the front, it houses a 12-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size and offers an AI portrait mode. Both the front and rear camera come with the new feature is known as AI short video + AR camera that lets you shoot short AR videos.
