Huawei has announced the new mid-range smartphone – Huawei Maimang 7 in China, today. The Maimang 7 was first unveiled at the IFA 2018 dubbed as Huawei Mate 20 Lite. The main highlights of the Maimang 7 include a 19:5:9 FullView display with a notch, Kirin 710 SoC, GPU Turbo, AI Quad Cameras (—dual front and rear cameras), 3D Qmoji and Google AR Core support. Huawei Maimang 7: A Re-branded Mate 20 Lite!

The Maimang 7 features a 6.3″-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) 19:5:9 FullView notched display. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Kirin 710 12nm SOC coupled with Mali-G51 GPU. Memory-wise, the phone comes in 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, there’s also room for storage expansion up to 512GB via a MicroSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 Custom UI on top. It also features the company’s own GPU Turbo technology for an optimal gaming performance.

Coming to the camera department, the Maimang 7 comes with four cameras, meaning a dual camera setup on both rear and front, as seen in Nova 3 and Nova 3i. Starting off with the dual rear camera setup consisting of a 20-megapixel primary camera with a f/1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash, AI Scene detection along with a 2-megapixel secondary depth-sensing camera for portrait shots.

While on the front, it also houses a dual camera setup consisting of a 24-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, 3D Qmoji along with a 2-megapixel secondary depth-sensing camera for portrait selfies. The handset is fuelled by a 3,750 mAh battery with the company’s own fast charging called Supercharge 18W (9V / 2A).

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite comes in three colors shade— Black, Platinum Red, and Sapphire Blue. The smartphone is priced at CNY 2399 (US$ 349 / Rs. 25,375 approx.), and is now available for purchase from today (September 12, 2018) and the sale will begin in China starting from September 15, 2018.
