Yesterday, HTC announced their mid-range smartphone HTC U12 Life — is a lite variant of HTC U12+ Flagship offering, at IFA 2018 in Berlin. The U12 Life is the successors to the last year’s U11 Life. The main highlight of the phone is its dual-tone liquid finish design which offers the smartphone look more premium even at the mid-range category.
The U12 Life flaunts a 6.0″-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and there’s no notch on top. A 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection (unspecified version). In terms of the design, it has a dual-tone liquid finish at the back, which includes a soft acrylic glass on the top and subtle stripes on the bottom with a glass unibody, which is similar to the Google Pixel’s design. Hence, the mid-range device even looks like premium flagship offering. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. It packs a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via a MicroSD. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HTC’ Sense UI on top. The handset is fuelled by 3600mAh battery and lacks Fast Charging.
