Along with the Honor 8X, Honor has also launched the Honor 8X Max in China. The key features of the Honor 8X Max, which comes with a large display and battery. The 8X Max adopts a waterdrop notch, is completely different from 8X, which is having a regular notch (—iPhone X style). So here’s everything you need to know about the Honor 8X Max!
Honor 8X Max: Phablet!
Talking about the spec, the 8X Max features a 7.12″-inch FHD+ (2244 × 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and a tiny waterdrop notch on the top (—similar to the recently launched OPPO F9 Pro & Vivo V11 smartphones). Hence it claims the screen to body ratio of 90.5% with Ta narrow bezel. In addition, it comes with a TUV Rheinland-certified blue light protection.
Under the hood, it is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC is coupled 4GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants either 64GB or 128GB. There is also one more variant, which comes with Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal storage. To handle the graphics, it coupled Adreno 509 GPU with both SoCs. There’s also an option to expand the storage up to 400GB via MicroSD card with a dedicated slot. The handset is fueled by a very big 5000mAh battery with 18W (9V/2A) Fast charging.
Coming to the camera, the Honor 8X Max sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of 16-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, PDAF, and AI scene detection along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth-sensing information for portrait shots. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. For security options, it comes with both a rear-facing Fingerprint sensor and AI-powered Face unlock.
To the software front, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 UI on top. The honor 8X Max is well-optimized graphics for game-play, thanks to Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology for software and hardware integration, it offers next level of 4D gaming experience with real-time and sound recognition, intelligent game vibration, which it can detect 10 different vibrations for 30 different settings.
